Welcome to our new humble abode for the next six weeks or so, Brookers!

Here's hoping this fred will be as lucky as sparks' and scarlett's grin

Face of course we've missed you smile

You've not missed anything from me, unless of course you have been away for over 3 weeks, in which case I'm nearly 7 weeks diffed grin

How are the wedding plans coming along?

cartoonface Thu 01-Nov-12 12:54:42

has it really been that long must be cos yes i had missed that!
remeber ur comment bout how ud all be too busy being pregnant for my hen party, u mustve known subconciously! WONDERFUL NEWS

Its going well, ive been stress about getting all the rspvs back. had to nag some people abit. i cant remeber if i said but we went for purple in the end for the brides mades etc and im hoping to have anemonies but my florist isnt sure they'll quite be in season. Weve been busy with stamps, glitter glue and stick on gems making personalised wish tags for our wishing tree. Hobby craft is my new favourite place.

<waves at face>

Hello smile

What's a wishing tree?

I bet things have moved on since I got married 100 7 years ago smile

cartoonface Thu 01-Nov-12 13:40:28

i think is a dutch tradition really but it getting popular here now.
its a tree. then u have like luggage tag things for ur guests to write there wishes for u on then they hang it on the tree. im having that rather than a guest book

cartoonface Thu 01-Nov-12 13:46:38
this is my one but i got it minus the crystals cos im gunna do something a bit different on mine not sure what yet though!

Biscuitsandtea Thu 01-Nov-12 14:00:18

That's a lovely idea Face :-)

I guess you can get folks to do it while they're say down too if you leave the tags on the tables with pens? Otherwise people forget to go to a guest book sometimes.

So when are you getting married? No doubt I should recall this but I can't blush

cartoonface Thu 01-Nov-12 14:01:59

its ok i changed the date brought it closer so its the 22nd december now, originally it was may next year

Biscuitsandtea Thu 01-Nov-12 14:04:34

Oooooh how lovely and exciting! Handy too since you'll be 7 months pregnant by May grin

Is it all lovely and sparkly and Christmassy?

Biscuitsandtea Thu 01-Nov-12 14:08:02

Not that there is anything wrong with getting married and being 7 months pregnant but it is very tiring and you might need to rest while walking up and down the aisle which can be slightly distracting grin

cartoonface Thu 01-Nov-12 14:11:56

exactly why i moved it tea
Yes it will be all sparkly and christmassy! not too traditional xmas as my colours are purple and silver but definatly be an xmas feel to it. the venue will decorate there tree according to my colour scheme. im crossing my fingers for a little bit of snow too!

Biscuitsandtea Thu 01-Nov-12 14:37:37

Awesome! I'll make sure I've done all my Christmas shopping then before 22nd so it can snow and I won't be left without my turkey grin

Princessishavingababyboo Thu 01-Nov-12 17:13:35

cartoonface Thu 01-Nov-12 18:21:19

Sorry boo won't do it again.
At times I've felt a bit of a fraud being here and thought maybe ill just come back in Jan! And also had just been abit down about this again and knew I wouldn't have anything nice to say. Found out one of my cousins is preg again and also a friend is too. We're not relly close friends though AMD did sort of think to myself Yeh well we shall see, I thought that too. So not very nice really its probably really mostly a case of the green eyed monster.

Princessishavingababyboo Thu 01-Nov-12 18:39:52

Well don't do it again wink It is so hard when you hear other people's news and of course you have a little green eyed thing going on, all the more reason to come and let us brook for you if you are finding it hard to brook, but you can't possibly leave us till January, we need wedding news.

cartoonface Thu 01-Nov-12 20:39:29

Princessishavingababyboo Thu 01-Nov-12 21:02:03

BeedleTheBard Fri 02-Nov-12 05:39:31

face lovely to see you, the wedding plans sound fab. I'm booking for a sunny day with just a dusting of snow on the ground, if you have to much we your guests won't be able to get there.

boo have you told the other grads booby's name, I hope we don't have to come over to that thread and tell on you grin

solars you're sounding well, have a lovely holiday next week

Nothing really interesting happening in beedleland, we only have to work a half day today so we're planning an afternoon watching movies - the weather is lucky here. And I'm hoping to get shag week started grin

Waves to all

SpookySparkle Fri 02-Nov-12 08:35:04

Beedle I dont think you can book that sort of thing grin

Face We had a winter wedding, post christmas though, we had a light dusting of frost in the morning. but by the time the ceremony had finished we had lovely sunshine, it was cold as hell but we were just glad it wasnt raining!! In fact we had dryer weather than my brother did at his July wedding!!!

Are you going to have christmas crackers as favours?

I'd totes be pushing the christmas theme!! ooooooh and have you thought of table decorations, cus I'd be tempted to ditch the flowers and go for tall vases with baubles filling them.... I wish I was a wedding planner!!!

BeedleTheBard Fri 02-Nov-12 09:48:38

Darn I meant Brooking for a sunny day grin stupid autocorrect

How are you feeling today sparks ?

Princessishavingababyboo Fri 02-Nov-12 09:58:57

Oh Beedle I would have, I really would, but they are all so busy sneezing out their little Brooking babies I didn't like to bother them with it. I will do, I promise fingers crossed behind back so don't you worry about it grin
