Late period but negative test result

I'd be grateful if anyone could give me any advice. I'm 33 and have been trying for my third baby for three months (fell pregnant the first month of trying with first two). I know ovulated late in my cycle (day 15 of 25 day cycle) and definitely thought I was pregnant as had strong implantation pains a few days later just like I did with my two boys. Yet My period was due yesterday and hasn't come, despite having cramps on and off for several days. I could swear I was pregnant but have done two tests and they are both negative. I'm wondering if I might not get a positive result till a bit later if I ovulated late. Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm driving myself mad! Thanks

I ovulated late with DD1 and didn't get a positive until I was a week late. Even then it was a faint line. Good luck!

I didn't know I was pregant with DS2 until I had a scan at 9 weeks to see why my periods had stopped. Equally I have been convinced many times that I was pregnant with late periods and other symptoms when I wasn't. I'd wait a week and if your period hasn't started do another test, if it is still negative I'd go and see the doctor. They can do a more accurate test and if it's still negative then they can look into it further. Just because you got pregnant quickly with your previous pregnancies doesn't mean it will as easy this time round. Jut be patient and good luck.
