Hi Piper Nice to meet someone my own age. I was beginning to feel like a grand old lady here.

I might just change my name to The Dowager Duchess at this rate.

Report
Pipersouth · 16/09/2012 17:34

Hi Pipbin the Dowager Duchess definately has a ring to it!! The age thing has a bit of a sting to it even though everyone else is in the same boat I feel a bit daft I left it so long

Report
Mixology · 16/09/2012 19:18

Well none of us seem to be 22 so I imagine the " age thing" is on everyone's minds. At least we're all getting around to it now!

I think on our previous thread we were all over 30 so none of us are spring chickens ;-)

Hello everyone! I'm on the monthly threads but have been lurking around here for a while Smile

I'm Dexi, 33, married for 4 years and on ? Cycle 7 at the moment.

I had my coil out in Jan and ditched the condoms in March ( we were a bit scared of getting pg straight away, oh the irony!) I did get pg in May but miscarried at 6 weeks. So here we are 6 months down the line and I'd stupidly assumed I would be knocked up by now.

4 DPO today...

Hey there, room for another one?!

I'm 31, have been ttc first baby for 10 cycles with no luck. I've been using CBFM but given up with it now
as it got too stressful.  I was pregnant this time last year but lost it at 16 weeks... so at least I know we can do it!! We'd been trying (not very hard tho) for 2 years for that pregnancy.

I'm really fedup of ttc this time as I so desperately want to be pregnant and have a baby in my arms. I was also really naive to think I'd get a bfp immediately because I was using a cbfm and really understand my body now (unlike last time) so I feel so deeply disappointed each time as I know we're doing everything we can.

Ttc is a tad tricky at the mo as my dp is recovering from a big knee op. so the only way (soz if tmi) is me on top (plus he's tired and in pain)... so I think the next few cycles are written off. Although he's as desperate for a baby as me so will grin and bear it, but it's hardly sweet and romantic, it's all a bit functional and mechanical which puts me off even trying.

Hello thread#2!
Im fantastic, 34 been married for 3 years TTC since June.
hazel isn't here yet is she? I just wanted to say how sorry I was but it WILL happen. Everyone here wants it too much for it not to, and will all be wonderful mothers. I love that everyone is in their 30s.
We've just been away for hubby's birthday. No jiggly though. AF arrived last week. So DTD will commence with vigour on 23 sep!
hello to the newbies x x

Oh I'm sorry whiskery. I too was of this time last year and had a mc in oct at 12 weeks - cant imagine how tough it would have been four weeks later... Hugs... But welcome and hopefully this time round we'll be luckier.

No sign of hazel yet no, hope she finds us...

And welcome newbies, fingers crossed for us all...

Hello ladies, from the old thread and newbies :-)
Hope you are all well. Whiskery thats so bloody rotten! Like you said at least you know you and hubby have working parts, my parenst tried for 5+ years before I came along and she said if she'd at least had a mc she would have know they could make a baby - does that make sense?
According to my app where I input dates etc I am at in my fertile period so DTD every other day at the mo - it does seem a tad forced but needs must I guess ;-p

I started using clear blue digital ovulation sticks this month. I have a regular cycle so wasn't going to bother until we'd been trying for 6 months (as I can estimate when my fertile period is), but my husband had heard good things about them, and I thought they'd provide some reassurance that I'm working properly (I've been with my husband for 13yrs and never been on the pill, so I'm a bit worried that I've never accidentally become pregnant, when so many people on the pill seem to).

I had my first :) today on CD14, so I'm in my fertile period too.

Fingers crossed for you all.
