thats nothing to worry about its just the one, coffee intake should be reduced or stopped if your a advid drinker and drink more that one cup a day.

Gov advice is moderate 2 cups a day but depends on strength which varies. Remember tea has caffeine. Fert clinic says avoid. I would go decaf myself

I had to have some thing morning! But I'm on one cup a week at the mo. Will have to break out the decaf.

I would just quit, caffeine is dreadful stuff, it affects you in many more ways than harming conception or unborn child but you just don't realise how crappy it makes you feel until you give it up completely and it's out of your system. There are loads of nice white/green/fruit teas about now, I never thought I would like them but drink them in preference to normal tea/coffee now.

In the zita west ivf book she says to have one cup of tea a day, but no more.

Caffiene is in chocolate products and cola and cold remedies.

I asked my doctor about this last week, and she said I could drink as much as I want -- the only thing it might do is give me palpitations!

She's an amazing doctor (was actually my Mum's doctor when she was pregnant) and has always given sound advise, so I have no reason to distrust her. It's not like I am a big drinker anyway -- I have a strong cup in the morning on weekdays and a couple of instants throughout the day. Weirdly, tea is the one that makes me go loopy!

I agree that there is a lot of conflicting information about it in the media, though.
