this happens to me a lot. When I was TTC I had my hormone levels checked out and they were ok. Since my periods have come back, its happening again. It's a real pain as not sure when to start counting down with regards to cycle. Sorry not to be of any more help.

No not necessarily.

Any spotting between periods should be checked out by your GP.

Hi,

I have been getting spotting (usually brown though - sorry if TMI) a week before AF is due. It isn't every day but intermittent for a week then I get a proper full period for at least a week.
It's very confusing and inconvenient. Not sure what to do about either.
My Mum had it over 20 yrs ago and her GP sent her for a scrape (?). It sorted out the problem in the short term.
I'm too much of a wimp to ask my GP if they still do this.

I get this too. Didn't realise it could be connected with hormone levels. Presume it's only a problem if your ttc.
