Hello All,

Is it possible to have symptoms of pregnancy before your first missed period? I didn't think it was, but have been feeling very odd for the last week or so, and wonder if it is the leftover of a virusy thing I had a couple of weeks ago (which came complete with sexy neck lumps) or if I might have caught on...

My last period started on 22nd October. I'm on a thirty day cycle so am expecting the next one to start either tomorrow or Monday. Me and my Partner have been trying for a baby, so during the days that I ovulated we were making love quite enthusiastically!

I'm still a bit stiffly but the cold (and, thankfully, the lumps!) have almost disappeared, but I'm still feeling really strange. Over the last week I've been very gassy and bloated, although it doesn't feel like trapped wind. A few days ago I had what felt like a premenstrual cramp, but no period, and I?ve been feeling dizzy on and off when I turn my head, even when I?m sitting down. Then yesterday we went to our local coffee shop for a coffee and a bagel and I got a burning pain in my chest with each bite ? it felt like there was a physical blockage just under my ribs that was trapping the food in my chest area, if that makes any sense.

I?m eating fine, although finding myself not making dinner some nights because I still feel full from lunch, and I have been feeling absoluely exhausted, going to sleep early and sleeping late. In general I just feel very strange and heavy, and seem to be sporting a larger than normal period bloat ? although I have a slim build so this could just be gas :)

So what do you think? These seem to be strange symptoms for what was essentially a bad head cold with lumps!

I had symptoms before I was late with both of my pregnancies but honestly all you can do is wait and take a test. I know it's frustrating though! Good luck :)
