Past few cycles 24/25 days long. OPKs indicated ovulation around cd9. Today cd 25. Over the past few days, from ovulation had lots of AF type cramping, so was hopeful for this cycle. However tested this morning with FMU, with superdrug hpt- very definite negative. Is there hope yet? Or is that a definite no? I know I am clutching at straws. Please please share your HONEST experiences and opinions. We have been ttc for a while now, I can take it! I don't want to continue this mentalling on my own, that's all! [ smile]

Oh wishing I feel your pain!!

You could be pregnant, are you around 14dpo? That should be long enough to get a positive to be honest but I also know lots of people who have had BFNs until 16 or 17dpo

Have you tried first response? They are by far the most sensitive tests

Thanks for the advice farfallarocks! Think I will just grit my teeth and wait for af! Think I'm 15/16dpo. I don't think there's any hope really, is there? But what's with such a long luteal phase then? This is doing my head in! are generally very good- on a par with first response I think. Ho hum....

Oh wishing, what a nightmare, I would say 15/16dpo should be enough but you never know!!

I have the opposite problem (shortish luteal phase) but I don't think a long one can cause problems, other than the annoying 2ww being longer than 2 weeks?

Strange that- I gleaned from different posters on numerous threads, that with a 24/25 day cycle, I'd have a shorter two week wait- especially with a long luteal phase: as implantation would happen even earlier- thereby results on hpt showing earlier? Isn't ttc a terrible headache?

Hiya. I have a cycle of 25-29 days and tend to ovulate quite early, well anything from cd9-15!
far is very wise :)listen to her!
No seriously I had a chemical pregnancy where I got a bfp 17dpo then back to bfn, my longest lp. Not saying that's what yours is, just that you can get a late positive. Sadly all you can do is wait, you'll either get a bfp or af...or if you get neither go to your GP!

nearlymumofone you are so kind. Thank you.
farfallarocks we have had the investigations- came back as unexplained infertility. I did fall pregnant naturally at the beginning of the year, but miscarried at 8.2 weeks in march. That was explained as probable chromosomal abnormalities. So, as we managed once before, we're hoping it will happen again? Who knows? It's very demoralising though. But you girlies here are a godsend!
