anyone got pregnant from sex early in cycle?

We had unprotected sex on day 6 (last Wednesday night - slightly drunk and over-exuberant) and I suspect I may be going to ovulate today (day 11). I've had increasingly fertile cf for the last 3-4 days. Temp was actually a bit up this morning but still have fertile cf so I don't think it was yesterday. Day 12 or 13 was my earliest ovulation day before (I've charted for about 4 years) so we thought we'd probably be OK on day 6.

We are not yet ttc and it would be a bit of a 'gulp' moment to get pregnant now but definitely not a total disaster. Just wondering whether the whole sperm lasting 5 days thing is a practically-unheard-of only-in-theory thing or whether any of you are sure you had a pretty long gap between sex and conception? Really grateful for any input, hope this is the appropriate board.

Yes, it is possible - my DSis got pg around 6/7th day of a "normal" (28-30 days) length cycle. Hth :)

Thanks Popcorn. Bit surprised that I am apparently ovulating a couple of days earlier than normal but I suppose time will tell whether I've got away with it!
