Calling all North London / London mums...

Hello ladies,

I hope you are all well... My name is Victoria, i am a mum to four beautiful girls and i have been a Birth and Post Natal Doula for the past 7 years.

I am thinking of starting up some kind of weekly gathering where mums and mums-to-be can come, have a cuppa, get to know other mums in their area and have a natter and be able to exchange adivce and tips amongst each other along with answering questions and problem others may have.

Little ones would be very welcome of course. It would be a bit like a play group / mothers coffee morning but with a twist and i was just wondering who might be interested and what peoples opinions were if i were to go ahead.

All feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Pregnancy might be a better place than this for conception.

I for one am a bitter and probably barren old crone who does not fall into the category of mum or mum to be, although not for the want of trying.

euro chick i am so sorry, i didnt mean to offend... i was trying to gain feedback from everyone. I know that with my second i spent quite a long time trying to conceive her yet i already had one and used to chat on these kinds of boards all the time. I was hoping that it would be a chance for all to get together whether they be trying, pregnant or already a mum as any of the above can be a very emotional and trying time and its always nice to get it all off your chest with those in a similar situation. I am so sorry if i offended you, i reaqlly didnt mean to. Thank you for your response though, i take it on board and i wish you the very best of luck.x

Hi milk, thank you for your question... im not entirely sure at the moment as it will depend on the feedback that i get. I personally am based near Finchley so will definitly have one near there but if i get lots of positive interest i have friends who are GP's and midwives, other Doulas and mums etc who would also be interested in holding other groups in different areas. I hope this helps somewhat.

Hi Victoria - I agree with eurochick that this isn't what most wannabemums wil respond to but proving the exception to my own generalisation, i live in swiss cottage and should i ever actually get pregnant then i'd be interested in theory.

Hi laughinglemons Thank you very much for your feedback, it really is appreciated - my aim was to have a group for all to be able to discuss their questions with others no matter what their situation, but maybe that wont work.

Can i ask if there was a group for ladies trying to conceive, where everyone could make friends, share stories and support from others is the same situation would that be something that you think might form interest?

Thank you for taking the time to come back to me.

Victoria.

I wouldn't come to a TTC group! Maybe others would.
