Hi, can anyone tell me if FR test that state they work as early as 6 days before AF is due, really do.

I'm due on in 5 days but no PG symptoms really but then don't think i did with my 3 other pregnancies. Not planning a PG but had unprotected sex 2x just before OV. I'm 42 now & our family is complete really but I'd still love to do it all again Grin

Will hold off til the weekend with the test but just wondered if most people get the right response that early. If they say they can tell you that soon then it must work right?

Hi!

PeeOnAStick.com says 'some HPT's say "test 5 days before your period is due!" or some such thing. Please note they are assuming a textbook 28-day cycle, with ovulation on Day 14. "5 days before your period is due" thus really "translates" to 10 DPO."'

So, the one you are looking at should work from 9 days past ovulation. The bumpf in the pack says that its:

62% correct 6 days before period - 9 DPO (days past ovulation)
78% correct 5 days before period - 10 DPO
87% correct 4 days before period - 11 DPO
98% correct 3 days before period - 12 DPO
99% correct 2 days before period - 13 DPO

So, in short - yes they can give the correct answer 6 days before your period is due - but the longer you hold out, the more accurate they get!

I hope that helps, and good luck! Update us on how you get on?

It may work or it may be a waste of money. I'd wait until at least 4, preferably 3 days early. I've always got accurate results by that point.
