Worried about ectopic

Hi, I don't even know if I'm pregnant yet as I've tested a couple of times and they've come back negative. We've been ttc and AF should be due on Sunday. But for the past week or so I've had very mild symptoms like a little nausea, headaches, diarrhoea but the symptom that is now worrying me is a sharpish pain in my lower right abdomen which comes and goes. It's not very painful but it's there and it's very localized. I've had mild cramping with other pregnancies but I don't remember a pain so focused in one place. Am I silly for even worrying? I'm not even sure I'm pregnant!!

When is your period due?

If it's still too early to test, I'm guessing even if there was the chance of an ectopic, it would still be too small to be causing pain if you haven't already missed a period.

If you're really worried, go and see the doctor.

Hi hairy, I haven't missed a my period yet. It's due on Sunday. So technically, it would be too early to feel ep symptoms this soon? That's a relief!
Thanks for writing!

Something to note - early pregnancy is supported by a corpus luteum cyst which grows on your ovary and which supports the pregnancy before the placenta kicks in at 12 ish weeks - it could be that you have one on your ovary which might be causing a bit of pain?

Do you get any ovulation pain usually?

I'm not sure if it's too early for pregnancy symptoms - I had them quite early - before I missed a period, definatley.

I think from what I've read that an ectopic is only big enough to cause pain after a few weeks - and it's excrutiating pain as far as I can work out.

Wishing you lots of luck - post if you get a BFP!

First of all, if you're really worried, please do see your GP - what I am about to say is in no way intended to suggest that you shouldn't trust your own instincts and, if you think something is wrong, tell someone medical.

Now that's out of the way, I shall tell you my story. When I was pregnant with my first DC, I developed a sharp pain in my lower left abdomen. Stupidly, I googled this and saw that this was a symptom of an ectopic pregnancy. In my my hormone-riddled state, I was nearly in tears with worry. Then I did a ginormous fart and the pain went. Blush I guessed this didn't happen with ectopic pregnancies, so decided I was ok after all!!! So, I'm just saying that there's a lot of very innocent things that an cause even quite unsettling pain and you're probably ok!!

Hi all, I'm not super worried or anything as the pain isn't that bad but some of the posts I've read about ectopic have mentioned that sometimes the pain is quite mild. So, that's why I got worried.
I did think of the cyst as well, which I guess is possible. I sometimes get ovulation pain and this is similar, less intense but has lasted longer. I don't remember getting it with my other pregnancies though. I've been pregnant 3 times but only one was successful.
I have been a bit gassy too Blush! It would be pretty funny if it was a giant fart! I don't want to make a fuss over nothing that's why I haven't phoned the GP.
