How faint is too faint? If I can see it but not at first glance, am I imagining things?

Probably not, so sounds like congrats may well be in order!
I had a very faint pink line yesterday, after a very very faint blue cross the day before. This morning, with FMU, I got a darker pink line Smile (And of course have asked DH to get Clearblue Digital on way home just to be sure Grin )

Congratulations to you! That sounds pretty certain. I think I will go mad with the wait!

Yes, the waiting is awful! But, hopefully, will be worth it in the end Smile
Will you update when you restest?

Fingers crossed!

11, so I know it's early days. I will have to hold my nerve. That's not going well so far! I'll post back either way in the next few days - af due on Thursday.

I'm sorry, but... While there may be a line there (did it come up within the time scale?) It is simply too early to know. This is the problem with early testing, the faintest of lines sometimes ends in a baby, but sometimes ends in a period. And a line isn't always a line. Sometimes its evaporation, sometimes its the light... Sometimes its a bfp (and that's great) but at 11dpo all you can do is wait. Testing early doesn't make you any more pregnant, it just causes uncertainty like this.

It was there again today so I made my DH pee on the other stick and there was no evaporation line for him... Keeping fingers crossed now.

Grrrr, this is such familiar territory! :o We started ttc last November, and I spent 4 months testing and testing and testing, and did actually convince myself that I could see a line on many occasions. Sometimes you can see a line - as there is a line there and its part of the test, and it does show up in some lights.

One day, I decided to do a test for the hell of it, because I'd chilled out and came to the conclusion that I wasn't bothered either way, and the pink line came jumping out at me very obviously. You will know when it really is a line. The main thing to do is not scrutinise the test under bright lights, moving from room to room (which I did). The chances are if you can't see it at normal reading distance, and there is no colour there, then it isn't a line.

Incidentally, I tested 11dpo, and it was an obvious positive. The line wasn't very bright, but it was definitely pink and the correct width.

It WILL happen. Take care x

I am so pissed off now! I have had five tests where there is a faint line, but each time it's taken too long to arrive (4 mins on a 3 min test). I have also done five other tests where there is nothing at all. You would think that five positive tests would bloody well be enough to settle the question but seemingly not. Now I'm thinking that I might be pregnant but that it's a weakling and I'm in for another early miscarriage. I just want to know one way or another, because if anyone ever needed a big drink, it's me. Sad

First of all, please stop testing. You are making yourself feel worse. If a faint "not there on first glnace" line is coming up outside the time frame, chances are its a bfn. I'm sorry, but I would expect a clearer line by now. Have a drink (even if you are pg, it won't hurt) and stop testing early. For your own sanity. The problem with early hpts is that they are nowhere near as reliable early on as you would think. I hope you get your bfp soon x

Smile it is really hard, I am a reformed early tester. But its so good to see a proper line. Imagine having no doubt! God, I hate hpt companies and their shameless manipulation of us and our hopes.

Well, temptation got the better of me. I had one last go this morning with a digital test and there it was - 'pregnant' came up very quickly and the line on the inside section was properly bright and the right thickness. Bearing in mind that this is the day after my period was actually due, this is probably the only test I should have taken. I am so happy, at last, to see something so unequivocal. Smile

Congrats Notnow that's fabulous news! It's much easier said that done, waiting out the full 2ww! Once the thought of testing pops in your head, it's impossible to stop yourself (It's like the TTC version of pringles!)
Wishing you a happy and healthy 8 months ahead x
