Waiting to TTC! Folic acid question

DH and I have agreed to TTC and come off bc in the new year. Now we've decided I can hardly wait, can't think of much else! Now wondering why the wait, but I know DH wants to try and move house, and save a bit. Should I be starting on Folic Acid now as a friend told me you need to take it 4 months before trying but doctors said just take it when you stop the pill? x

Hi Milly Exciting stuff! I think the general consensus is that the folic acid takes about 3 months to build up to its maximum levels, so there would be no harm starting it before you are trying.

The best of luck for TTC, and for the house move Smile

3 months before is what is usually advised. G'luck!
