Hello Mumsnetters it my first post . Been TTC for about a year and Panicking here!! I am supposed to be having blood test day 21 but that makes it a Saturday and the hospital clinic is closed then . My cycle is 27 days anyway should I get the test tommorrow day 20, wait for Monday day 23 or do it next month ???

Hi i would ring the clinic and ask them what they think would be best, im sure your not the first person that has happened with :)

The test is best done 7 daysbefore your period starts, so day 21 is only a guide. I'd say day 20. But do you have any idea when you ovulated this month? For instance the month I went I

Sorry posted too soon. The month I went I was going to go on day 19 as my cycles are normally short. But I was fairly sure I ovulated a bit later that month so went on day 22 instead and sure enough that turned out to be the right day.

Hi Juveen, I think the important thing is to get the blood test done 7 days after ovulation, do you have a rough idea when you ovulated? If so I would try and time as best as possible for 7 days after that, rather than 7 days before your period.

Hi there, my cycle is slightly eratic sometimes 28,29,30,31 days, my doctor said it didn't matter a great deal, I tested on day 20 and still got a positive ovualtion result. If the results come back as negative then they would repeat them anyway, so I would just have them done. X

My clinic told me if it falls on a weekend go with the Monday as then you can b sure it's at least 7 days post ov
