Thin blue line

Sorry this is an 'am I aren't I' post but it's driving me up the wall and I'm hoping someone has had a similar experience.

I'm a day late. I thought I might be pregnant as I have bad constipation (usually very regular) and excess discharge. Also yesterday some colostrum which was odd.

So, tested twice today. Both times there was a very thin blue line, rather than a thick one. I'm wondering if this may be evaporation lines - probably something to do with the test rather than me as the results were exactly the same.

Anyone else experienced this? The test was clear blue.

Which clearblue? Not a +/- one?

ClearBlue +plus?

Has a cross in window if you're pg.

Sorry not really up to speed with tests! (yet)

I usually say a line is a line is a line and a pregnancy test is a pregnancy test.

But the only tests I would never trust are the Clearblue +/- ones (where you get a cross if positive, a line if negative). There's some info here about them. I think being unclear, dye bleeding from the horizontal to vertical line and clear evaporation lines are just a few of the reported problems with them.

Do you have a Poundland locally? They do 2 tests, surprisingly for £1 and they're sensitive and accurate. Otherwise, any shops own brand.

Thank you SOH, that link makes sense. Looks like a bleed from horizontal to vertical.

I'm off to shops now so will pick up an own brand and test later.
