Hello!

Never posted on this board before so I hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes or messing with the etiquette ;-)

Bit of background: I have an almost 3yo son & since having him my periods have been much heavier, more frequent & not as regular.

We decided to start trying for a 2nd bub about 6mths ago at which point I started using a period tracker app on my phone. I'd decided I wasn't going to go down the temperature taking etc route just yet as, tbh, I stressed myself out doing that massively the 1st time.

Anyway, my last cycles have been 28, 26, 32, 27, 24, 25 & it's calculated my average cycle as being 25 days.

CD1 was 15/06 & I got some bleeding from 24-26/06 (CD10-12) which I've never had before although the past couple of mths I've had some pinky brown discharge at about the same point in my cycle. When I googled the bleeding (as you do!) it mentioned it being a possible sign of ovulation so DH & I duly got jiggyjiggy! ;-)

So now I find myself 6 days late (CD31) according to my period tracker but the irregularity of my periods is making me incredibly reluctant to test yet.

I want this so SO badly that I think a BFN will break me right now.

I have crampy period type pains (but very low down) & low back pain as if AF is going to arrive but I remember having these when I got pg before. My boobs also seem a little bigger, I feel bloated, 'tight' across the stomach & swollen & I almost constant indigestion but this has been for about 7 days now.

I really REALLY don't want to get my hopes up but what do you all think I should do?

Sorry it's such a long first post, thanks for reading x

Put yourself out of agony. Get a test. Cheap one mind, actually you can get them in £ shop sometimes!! Then spend the other £10 on yourself regardless of outcome.
Thinking of you

Thank you! I may try & pick one up today then with a view to doing it first thing tomorrow.

Was trying to hold out until Monday before buying one (if necessary) Wink

Test on day 33, then you are definitely late - although it sounds like you are more than 14 days post ovulation so maybe just poas this afternoon? Sorry not very helpful advice there - good luck

Thanks Nettee - I think that's why I was trying to hold off until Monday. That would put me at CD33 so, like you say, definitely late.

I know what you mean about not wanting to get BFN as it is so disappointing, but think if it this way, if AF arrives isn't that almost equally disappointing? At least if you test you'll know one way or the other.

Having said that, I totally understand wanting / trying to wait until the 33 days - I would probably be the same, so I do appreciate what a predicament you're in Smile

Good luck if / when you do test - and let us know how you get on. Fingers crossed for you xx

Order some from Amazon, then see which comes first. The tests or AF!

ooh, marking my place.

buy a test this afternoon and piss in the morning - that gives you 32 days.
It can't hurt, can it? (i know you don't want to see a BFN, but surely it's better to know than to worry yourself silly and stress, and possibly miss sleep - not good for anyone.)

Will probably pick one up tomorrow with a view to poas 1st thing Monday.

clinging I totally understand where you coming from I felt exactly the same way last month ending up being approx 10 days late, and unfortunately that's all it was, I too had convinced myself with symptoms that I was pg, I deleted my iapp tracker and anything that showed my dates etc, I'm just seeing what happens and trying to not think about it, I'm not saying this will happen to you but wanted to let you know my story iyswim good luck and I hope you get a bfp :)

Good idea to wait, though I admire your self-restraint!

My period was due last Tue/Wed (was a little unsure as thought I'd ovulated later than normal). I told DH I'd test on Thurs morning if no AF arrived.

Instead I cracked and went to Boots Wed lunchtime and bought the Boots digital tests. I tested on Wed afternoon and BFN - was gutted! I then used the remaining test on Thurs morning with FMU and the positive popped up quickly.

So of course I wish I'd waited! Will keep my fingers crossed for a good result for you tomorrow Smile

Totally understandable! Similar predicament myself - irregular cycles etc, but I'm much earlier DPO and more worried about doing it in case of false positives. (My cycles are anywhere between 19 and 35 days, but not been longer than 26 days for last two years, with average 23 days. Today is day 27, but think I probably only ovulated day 20 so only 7 days DPO. (Blimey, all this maths hurts your head, doesn't it?!))

Was just going to post my own thread about it and ask others what's the earliest I can POAS, but your post has inspired me to wait a bit longer!

Good luck for your POAS!
