Pre-op assessment for ovarian diathermy

Hey got my Op date finally! Sooner than I thought which is good got to go for a pre op Assessment on Thursday 14th don't know what to expect the letter I got said I need to stay 4 hrs... Hmmm ant ideas what I have in store

Pre-op usually involves basic assessment of your medical needs. They'll get a full medical history, do your weight, blood pressure. They may take urine sample and bloods as well. They often do an ecg.(trace your heart). You might see the anaesthetist. It's an opportunity to ask questions and they give you all the info about the operation, how to prepare, what to expect afterwards.
I suspect the time is about a fair bit if waiting (take a book!). None the individual things take that long but they tend to have a queue! Hope it all goes well.
