My bestest friend has been trying to conceive for a year and after being in pain all that time and getting fobbed off by doctors she went private and got it sorted.

They found entrometriosis on both ovaries and tubes and a fallopian tube was squashed under an ovary. All was removed and doctor said theres no reason why she shouldnt get pregnant,if not by 9 months then maybe look into ivf.

Anyone have any experience of this please? thanks

... she had a cyst on her ovary which the surgery was for then they found that while sorting it.

I had IVF after being diagnosed with endo (found during an ectopic pregnancy - 1 tube removed, the other too blocked to be functional).

The IVF was successful first time (despite being an older mum) and my DS is now 3yo.

I hope your friend gets the answers she needs and has some good luck soon Grin.

A friend of mine had 2 ops for endo while she was ttc and her husband had a low sperm count. She has 3 beautiful children (a toddler and baby twins) from ICSI. If there are eggs and sperm, there is always hope (and if not, there a donors and adoption).

My friend has endo told no chance of natural conception even with ops. Now proud Mummy to gorgeous twins via ivf! Sounds like she's had a tough time bless her but with one ovary and a fallopian tube she could definitely fall pregnant naturally. If not, what eurochick says!
