Not me, but a friend of mine. Premature menopause at age 34 (don't know all the details) She has been accepted for IVF and done the first lot of injections and went today to the hospital, I presume for the egg collection, and she has been told there are no eggs. Does this mean there are no eggs to stimulate ie, she just has no eggs at all? Or no eggs that have responded to this type of hormone and that something else might work? Or that there is no chance she can conceive with her own eggs?

Sorry, probably not enough information for any helpful answers.

Hi,

Having gone through IVF myself I only know a little, but it sounds like she has not produced any mature eggs this time, they may try different drugs next time at a higher dose or suggest donor eggs.

wish her luck x

OK, thank you. I think she's been advised to look at donor eggs but I don't want to bombard her with too many questions (she's my brother's partner) but want to be supportive for them both whatever happens so it's useful to have some idea of what options they might be facing so I don't say anything stupid and hurtful.
