Hi I'm new ~waves~

How soon can you tell if you are PG? Potential symptoms which I'm experiencing: extreme tiredness (dozed on the bus home today, unusual for me!), constipation, nausea (but not actually been sick), weeing a lot more often, loss of appetite (very unusual for me, lol)...

Never been pregnant before but only started swi/ttc a week ago... am I obsessing already?? I think its too soon to do a test.

Hi princessamz - thanks for reply!
Last period started 26 May, only started trying about 1 week ago. I think I am just reading too much into all my symptoms, but glad it's not just me!! I am probs thinking about it too much as we have only just made the decision to ttc.

its frustrating isn't it. I'm on cycle 4 of ttc #1 and i've convinced myself i'm pregnant every time. But at the end of the day you can only every know for sure on the day of that missed AF. YOu can send yourself potty with symptom spotting and unfortunatly alot of the symptoms are the same as AF! I've tried to calm my head down by breaking it down into timescales. IE day 1 = AF. Ovulation isn't till about Day 14/15 and then it can take about 12 days to implant so testing early isn't worth it cos don't want to go through the heartache of a chemical pregnancy. Unfortunatly patience isn't one of my strong points

I'm sorry to burst your bubble susey, but if your last period was 26th may you've probably only just ovulated (assuming a 28 day cycle and a 14 day luteal phase). After that the egg needs to implant (assuming it was fertilised) which takes about 7-10 days, and until then you aren't pregnant so no symptoms till then at earliest. I know it is hard, but try not to focus on it, as you will drive yourself mad if it doesn't happen quickly (and as someone on month 13 I I know what that feels like).

Thanks for reply and info miniH!
melliebobs: patience isn't my strong point either, maybe that's why I think I'm thinking too much about all these symptoms! Being optimistic. Fingers crossed for all of us.

Susey and princessamz, I'm TTC also, this is our first month too, my period is due in 4 days and I have started spotting, my cycle is 28 days to the day evey month. I did a test this morning thinking it might be an inplantation bleed, and got an BFN, but will wait and see, i do think it was too early to test, but had to do it!!! (had it in my head that it was going to take months to fall pregnant, but you live in hope!)Only symptons that i have is tiredness. Called my sister this afternoon to get her advice, she has had 4 pregnacies, so load more exp than me! she just said that I had to sit and wait. I do feel that it will be a long and disapointing wait

Hi everyone - just thought I'd chip in, as I'm not sure what to make of make symptoms at the moment (and also find it very easy to obsess over every twinge)! It's all so complicated... I'm on cycle 3 TTC #1. I recently came off the pill after about 14 years, and so expect it to take a little while. My last two cycles were 33 days and 31 days. I'm currently on day 35 and have taken three tests already! All BFN! Eek. The tests I'm using are, according to my scientist husband, not very reliable, so I'm going to go and by a super-sonic one - any suggestions?? It's probably just my body adjusting to being off the pill, but really hoping that maybe this is the month...

Hello again everyone! I am glad it's not just me who is thinking too much about symptoms etc after first starting ttc!! I am feeling very pre-menstrual at the moment, but so far no bleeding.. so, finger's crossed! This might be TMI (look away now if it is!!) but is mucus a symptom?
Egglet - my cycles are irregular, too, so I've no idea when's best to test. Might leave it a week if no AF in the meantime. If I can be that patient...

Susey - it might be... www.nhs.uk/Planners/pregnancycareplanner/Pages/signs-and-symptoms-of-pregnancy.aspx.

Fingers crossed for both of us! I hate having to be patient, I just want to know!

Thanks for the link Egglet! Tbh I seem to have a lot of those symptoms but (as lots of women say) they overlap with symptoms of PMS, so i'll wait and see!
