missed mini-pills, now feeling a bit funny and am concerned

Missed three mini-pills while on holiday, forgot to take them on a trip with me. Six days of taking the pills again before engaging in any sexies, was that enough time? Had a bleed after that - been on Cerazette since Feb and still getting (very light) bleeds. Has been a month now since that bleed.

Now i seem to have some pg symptoms - so POAS'd a couple of times last week and BFN, but reading the threads here that seems way too soon to tell anything. Still feel odd - not unlike when DS came along.

Not TTC at all, clearly - been separated from DS's dad for a year, been seeing someone else for six months, someone i'm very committed to but who doesn't especially want to become a dad...

Okay, i have had my vent which is better than paging through dozens of slightly-related threads, and am popping out to Poundland...

How long has it been since you missed your pills? I'm just wondering if you're testing too early or if you have a clear bfn (depends how long it's been).
Most blurb says you should use alternative protection for 7 days just I'm case an egg was released during the missed pills time.
Bleed wise I was on.cerazette for a couple of years, bleeding took quite a few months to settle but then I had a regular (4 weekly) very light bleed. Missing some may just gave upset the rhythm so to speak.

Right, it must have been the 3rd of May when I missed three pills and 12th May when I had a couple of days bleeding? So i would be barely due - on a more or less regular 28 day cycle. Tried a Tesco stick this afternoon BFN again... and these things do get expensive don't they - should i wait like another week?

Symptoms, i don't know; upset stomach, sore back and breasts for a few days but fine now. Projectile-vomited into a gutter once. Perhaps i'm just slowly dying. Wink Feel rather aware of my belly but perhaps that's just because i'm worrying about it? ;)

I read some Cerazette horror stories here from a few years ago but i have felt totally fine with it (unlike Microgynon which i took years ago and definitely help cause some depression)

I think the bfn indicates you're probably not pregnant. If you.got pregnant around the 3rd May you'd see a positive by now. However, I do think you're ill! Get yourself down to your GP. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks havealittlefaithbaby. I meant after the 12th is the time some sort of conception event might have happened. I'll definitely get myself checked out soon though

Even.if it was as late as 12th you'd probably see a bfp by now. Do get yourself checked out. Could be a virus? Get well soon.

Actually with cerazette its effective again after 48 hours. This is what a doctor told me despite the fact that the leaflet hadn't been updated.
However, the risk is if you had sex during the days then the pills are missed. I reckon you would know for sure by now with a test.

kat2504 two days for Cerazette to be effective again would be really reassuring.

The Cerazette patient information leaflet is online, it does still say 7 days and also "The more consecutive tablets you have missed, the higher the risk that you might fall pregnant." However i definitely didn't have sex during the missed pill time - not til 6 days afterwards.

havealittlefaithbaby i tried the other test out of the pack yesterday, still bfn - i got the impression from other threads that it's about a week after the period is missed before anything would necessarily show up? ('6-10dpo' (days period overdue?)). am feeling much more normal but i'll definitely go check in with a GP soon.

feeling a bit less concerned now, good

Hehe well this will teach me to be more conscientious with the mini-pills, not miss them or keep reaching the 12 hour limit ...

However it was interesting to seriously contemplate the prospect of reproducing with the BF, he seemed fairly relaxed and accepting of the idea. Gives me pause for thought, perhaps i could see it happening, perhaps not. Am getting on a bit, probably couldn't leave it many years?

Much appreciated your support havealittlefaithbaby Shock

PS looked up dpo and that seems to mean 'days past ovulation' which makes sense...
