False positive?

Hello
I did a boots own pregnancy test just after lunch today and a very faint line appeared pretty much straight away. I then went into town and bought a Clearblue digital test which said "not pregnant"
I had a period 26th April which lasted the normal (for me) 5 days, I then had what I thought was an early period 24th May but it only last 1 and a half days Confused Has anyone had a false positive from the boots tests?

The boots ones are blue dye'd ones aren't they? with the cross.

Unfortunetly they are prone to horrid evaps much like clearblue plus. I'm sorry to sound so negative, I just hate these tests! I would def test again tomorrow with FMU, preferably with a pink dye test.

Goodluck getting your BFP :)

It is the blue dye.
I think I will have a trip to boots tomorrow to purchase a first response (they are on offer)
Thanks for all your responses, hopefully I will get a pink positive :)

I've had three false positive. Was very upset by the whole thing as had been trying for ages. Mine were caused by ovian cysts. Cysts release the same hormone as pregnancy. It is mentionned slightly in the clear blue test. On all my tests the lines became lighter the later my period was, will never trust a positive test again. The doctor can give you a blood test to see if you are pregnant. But it is very very rare. Good luck fingers crossed for you
