Hi,

Been TTC for a year, cycle a bit all over the place - thought this was because I had been using depo injection.

Had my first consultant appointment yesterday bloods, height, weight and internal scan. The ovary he looked at had cysts where he said it was typical poly cystic ovary. I'm totally confused really as apart from my cycle being all overthe place and no sign of ovulation I don't have anyother symptoms.

Been prescribed clomid have it in my bag. Dying to start it but haven't had a period for over 60 days. Anything I can do to hurry process?

Also he advised losing weight or def not putting any on. I found this quite difficult as Im not particularly overweight Im a 10/12 ?!?

I was reading online u can have pco but not pcos how would I know?

Also Im really worried that all my time on the contraceptive injection sort of protected me and now that I've been off it almost 2 years Im suddenly going to get acne and hair growth. Things Ive never suffered from.

Sorry to go on. I'm just so low today have cried on and off lots and just feel shit. Combined with this my DH has a borderline low count (not horrendous but not thor like either lol) I just feel that yesterday my hope of every having a child floated straight out the window. Sad Sad.

Hi, don't worry about it so much. Having PCOS alone does not preclude one from conceiving. I have had PCOS for over 10 years now and conceived after 2 months of trying, however, I did take Agnus Castus (herb) and Evening Primrose Oil in large quanitities for about 9 months prior to TTC which could have helped... There are lots of symptoms associated with PCOS if you read the internet, but please don't -- you will not necessarily get them if you haven't gotten them already. For instance, I have been underweight for years and do not have facial hair. I was also advised to be careful about weight, particularly as I get older... Doctors have to say this to limit their liability. Relax. Take Clomid and keep trying. Hope it happens for you soon.
