When to start testing with my ovulation kit thing?

I have bought a pack of clearblue ovulation tests but I'm not sure which day of my cycle I should start to use them? Can anyone advise?

The example in the pack is based on a 28 day cycle and I'm usually only 25 days and was only 21 days this last cycle (had a M/c in late Feb so imagine things are a bit irregular after that)

Thanks!

This is from net doctor...

If your periods are 26 days apart, it's a good idea to start testing on the ninth day after the start of menstruation.
If your periods are 27 days apart, I suggest you start testing on the 10th day after menstruation starts.
If your periods are 28 days apart, start testing on the 11th day after the start of menstruation.

I guess for a 25 day cycle you would start day 7/8?

The maximum "normal" luteal phase is 16 days, so you could in theory ovulate on day 9 and get your LH surge a day or two before that, so day 7/8 would be right for the first month. Once you have narrowed it down over a couple of cycles, you can pinpoint when to test and use fewer sticks each month (which is good, as the kits are expensive!).

My cycle varies from 25 days to about 32. The earliest I have detected an LH surge is day 12. I have a shortish luteal phase - 11 days. Yours might be longer.
