BFN, No AF, 18 DPO!!! What is going on?? I'm a newcomer to all this

Hi Ladies,
I'm desperatly seeking advice as this TTC is all new to me, as its only been a few months.
Basically I'm using OPK's and BD through my smiley face. I was due my AF 4 days ago and nothing at all. I got these really cheap One Step Pregnancy tests from Amazon and all have come back negative so far.
Only symptons seem to be very sensitive nipples, occasional cramping but not AF pains and no AF.
Should I get a test again with a HPT from Boots or a better brand??
Don't really want to go to Docs just yet for blood test.
Advice and would love to hear stories of BFPs after 18 DPO.

I am in a very similar position. No AF but BFN. I am having cramping but so far nothing doing! Have read other similar threads and there doesn't seem to be a general consensus. Just a case of wait and see I guess. Tis very frustrating and confusing isn't it?

You're both probably pregnant. Those Internet cheapies aren't very good in my experience (pregnant last year and Internet cheapie said "maybe" when ClearBlue said 2-3 weeks). Am in the same sort of boat as both of you 15DPO (norm 13 day LP) no AF, and many many BFNs littering my bin. Fingers crossed all round.

Fingers crossed indeed! Toes too!! I have been using Superdrug's tests and a first response but that was a few days ago....

It is possible that you did not ovulate - hence no period and negative HPT. It is fairly common.

I have PCOS and have not had a period (or ovulated in 9 months) but am most definitely not pregnant!

Thanks for the posts.
Quite therapautic knowing others going through the same frustrations but really hoping you get BFPs.
I came home from work and tried a Boots test to set my mind at rest over these internet cheapies but another BFN. Although my eyes played tricks on me seeing line in the second window, I wish!
Never heard of Cavemums theory before, I assumed if I got my OPK smiley face I was in with a chance.
But my Af's are very regular, never skipped a month ever before???
would just be my luck as soon as I TTC I don't ovulate :-(.
Well Brown and Teacup keep me posted and I will too.

My period arrived this morning - which is a bit of a relief... I don't think I have PCOS, and guess my system is still a little out of whack since my last mc. Good luck Nini and Tempest, and hope your body starts cooperating soon CaveMum.

Okay I'm 9 days late for my AF, and still showing BFN.
I was goign to see Dr tomorrow but turns out all they will do is a urine test, which I'm quite capable of. So still hanging on.
Sorry to hear yours came BrownB. Hope you get a bfp soon.

Hello ladies, I am in the same situation, I have effectively missed two periods of a normal 28 day cycle, I am now on day 57 of my cycle. I have had BFNs and I dont 'feel' pregnant, so now I'm thinking that maybe I'm not ovulating. Is it worth going to the doctors, is there anything they will do? Could I have PCOS?

Nini - would be interesting to see what your doctor said?

Hi just saw this thread and thought I'd say that I was in a very similar position, no AF, no BFP's and wondering what on earth was going on. I finally got a BFP this morning 25dpo, so don't give up hope yet.

I tested from when AF was due and got 5 BFN's in 5 days! Then I left it for 4 days and thought I'd do one last test and make a doctors appointment if it was still a BFN. That was 8 days after AF was due so I guess my hormone levels must just be very low.

My boobs have been slightly bigger since just after ovulation but after 3 weeks I started to wonder if I was imagining it. Ive also had a backache but wasn't sure if it was connected.

And don't use CB digital tests btw, I had a + on asda, Tesco and FR but CB was still negative. I trust a missed period and 3 +tests more though!

I'm in a very similar position as you. Not actually TTC however I am 5 days late, 17 dpo and have had many BFN's and a few BFP's (so feint they're almost in my imagination tho :))

Hey @donewithbeingpreg, I see your post is recent. I'm 18dpo. Confirmed through bbt and a solid line on FF. I tested at 13dpo and got a BFN. Haven't had the strength to test again. What happened on your side? It would be helpful if you replied. 😔

@TTCfor9M hey, I had negative tests (spent a fortune from impatience) and then got my period weeks late. This month I've started ovulation testing and I'm currently ovulating, 2 days peak so far, so hopefully I can track easier now :) xx

@donewithbeingpreg so I'm still waiting. The funny thing is that my temps are still above the coverline but has been flat at 36.45 for days now. Except the dip at 16dpo. Right now I just don't know anymore. FF stated that my temp couldn't be right this morning, I think it expected me to be pregnant . I guess I'll just wait it out.

Great that you know you're ovulating. Crossing fingers for you this month. I just want AF to start so I can start on a new cycle. So exhausting.

Hey guys! I'm experiencing the same thing. I'm 18dpo af no where in sight. I just took a cb and got a bfn. I'm do frustrated! I have a dr. appt tomorrow for another reason so I will ask about blood work.

I’m the same 17 dpo and bfn, boobs feel bigger, headaches, nauseous and so tired :/
