Nice thread Josie and you know starting it means it's your turn to win your baybee yes? Wink Are you planning to add yourself back onto the list. I am determined that we will get you posting positively before the end of this thread, operation 'we'll cheer Josie up' in progress!

So I've been for a job interview this morning and I don't think it went particularly well - oops! I'm now sitting in a train station but am accompanied by wine! I know it's s bit early, but it's Friday right??? No symptoms at all for me and I'm 8DPO so think this is yet another failure month. I know technically it's not over yet but I have 'that' feeling.

Tomboy so sorry for BFN but could it be false? If no sign of ERTD yet it could be. (((((hugs)))))

Hi there! Grin

FX with the job truffkin x

JosieSmith1 · 04/03/2011 14:22

Good luck with the job Truff, you never know, you've probably done better than you think. And I know that feeling, got it now actually even though ERTD is due and hasn't showed it's face yet

Yes this thread will be my turn! I got pulled into the office again this morning and my senior asked if I was ok again and said that work offer counselling and did I want to go Shock I'm so embarrassed. Anyway, I had a good cry, and a little talk about it, then I had a quiet word with my pg colleague and apologised for making her feel uncomfortable, had a hug and another cry, then I spoke to team manager who's daughter was in yesterday with her baby, had yet another hug and a cry, and now I actually feel a lot better! I've got it back into my head that I'm not out of the game yet and I'm going to keep fighting cos that's who I am, not this snivelling jealous wreck that I've recently turned into.

'Operation we'll cheer Josie up' is fab thank you GrinGrin. I'm going to think about putting myself back on the list but I'm not sure as I'm still going to try and keep my mind off ttc rather than throw myself into it

Nice to hear you've had a better day, see this project is working already! The counselling option might be a good idea, to let you talk through your feelings with someone who has no agenda at all. I was kind of kidding about the list, don't want to start stressing you out again Grin

I'm home, nice and early so that's one good thing about today. I'm going to paint my nails, have a cup of tea and a packet of biscuit and watch some crap telly! I've got the curry going for dinner so DH will be pleased with me. Yay for the weekend and thank crunchie it's Friday!

I'm just checking in to the shiny new thread, thanks Josie Grin

I think somehow I have got my dates wrong on the list (probably my fault) I'm on CD18 now, if you count the miscarriage as day 1. According to FF I ovulated on day 9, which seems a bit early since my only cycle since the pill was 30 days. Anyone want to give me any opinions/advice?

Report
Truffkin · 04/03/2011 19:48

Hi Lizzy I've ovulated early on 2 cycles now, last August and this current cycle on day 12. I normally ovulate around day 15 and have a 12-13 day luteal phase and in August my cycle was a couple of days shorter than normal. I'm anticipating that this cycle will also be shorter and ERTD will arrive earlier than usual Sad

This might just be a bit of WTF cycle for you and things will get back to normal next month? Hope so!

Evening ladies, evening new thread!

Josie glad to hear you're doing better. And I see you started the new thread, which is of course a bringer of luck. (((hugs)))

Yesterday: BFN. Today: hello every pg symptom in the book. Big, sore boobs, properly full-on metal mouth, fatigue, unusually acute sense of smell, wanting to cry at anything and everything, not wanting to go out drinking with my colleagues after work. (The not wanting to drink one is seriously not like me. Blush ) Also some pretty significant ERTD-type cramps, but no sign of ERTD as yet.

Maybe yesterday's test really was "too early", though I'm now almost two weeks late, so it's a peculiar definition of "too early". Confused

Tomboy I've heard of some women never getting a BFP on a HPT but they were still pregnant. Perhaps give it a few more days and make a Drs appointment to have a blood test done?

Josie glad you had a better day. Sometimes you need to let it all out to allow yourself to "reset".

Josie it just goes to show doesn't it! When I had my reflexology appointment a few months ago the lady told me that, in her experience, very few women get pregnant at the drop of a hat and that most people experience problems of some kind. She said if we all talked about it a bit more everyone would feel so much better as we would realise that we are not failures if we font get pregnant immediately. We put too much pressure on ourselves.

Problem is that most people don't think before they speak. I've lost count of the amount of people who have said "It'll be you next" or "When are you going to have kids?" if I gave them the answer I want to (I'm bloody well trying to get pregnant!) they would be shocked and embarrassed!
As it is only 2 people know we are trying - my best friend and a lady I work with. We haven't told our families as we don't want added pressure of parents asking if I'm pregnant yet!

Afternoon frolickers! Hope everyone is out enjoying the weekend. We're off to meet friends shortly, which will help me to stop inventing non-existent symptoms Grin This morning I have been convinced that I have the beginnings of morning sickness, I clearly haven't and it's all in my mind so I think I need some fresh air to retain my sanity!

Josie nice work on the positive thinking, that's great progress and turns out you learned something you wouldn't have otherwise, which helps with your feelings. There is clearly something to it!

Cave we haven't told anyone that we are TTC and sometimes I do want to say something along those lines. I never cease to be amazed how many people think it's perfectly acceptable to ask about your plans for having children. It's basically asking about our sex life, which I find entirely odd! If I could just say 'we've been trying for ages actually and at the moment, we're working on improving the quality of MrTruff's sperm' and check out the reaction Grin

Happy Saturday everyone!

New to MN, first post on the message boards Smile
Myself and DH are TTC#1, only just started so having to tell myself to be patient!

Recently qualified as a teacher but after 12 months of trying to find a permanent post with no luck we have agreed that now might be the right time to TTC#1 (both 26yo) and hope that the job market will have changed in 18 months/2 years/whenever it may happen.

On the subject of people knowing you're ttc, I'm finding it quite hard knowing that most people at work now know I'm trying after I took a couple of days off when I miscarried at the end of last cycle. I think it was easier just putting up with the occasional insensitive comment, rather than people feeling sorry for me. I just want to scream, "It's only been 3 months since I came off the pill, stop pitying me, it WILL happen!"

Morning all! Just wanted to say hi and welcome to the Mad House to Petal Grin

It's just occurrd to me that there is less than 2 weeks till my appointment! How the frick did that happen?! When I was given the date back in January it felt like forever away! Now need to start thinking positive thoughts again otherwise I'll convince myself I have something terrible wrong with me Hmm

Report
TomboyWife · 06/03/2011 11:56

Morning ladies, and welcome Petal!

CaveMum yea for appointments being close! Time flies sometimes, eh?

Well, I've still got pg symptoms, still haven't got ERTD, and yet another test was negative this morning. Could this be a chemical pregnancy that's taking a long time to resolve? Or a viable pregnancy that's taking a long time to bed in? Or a Tomboy that's slowly losing her marbles?

I'd be tempted to make a GP appointment, but we're going to be away for almost 3 weeks starting Friday, so it seems silly to start investigating anything now. Surely something definitive will happen one way or the other in 3 weeks -- unless it doesn't, of course. Cave, do you know why some people never get that second blue line despite definitely being pg?

Report
CaveMum · 06/03/2011 12:11

Tomboy I'm not sure why it happens, but it seems to be fairly common judging by things I've read on this site! A quick Google throws up this site which might give some answers.
