Jump on if you are a TTCer hoping that this cycle is 'the one' and will result in a sprog or sprogette due in November.

Welcoming season ticket holders and new passengers.

Ding ding!

I am here 'being positive'. After being teased with a BFP last week, am back to CD1 with a thump. Onwards and upwards.

Hoping my cycle isn't too affected by the CP/ early loss and I actually have a chance this cycle.

I'll join you, ravenlocks. Am being tested for PCOS this week (have had a few super long cycles since coming off the pill last year) but still going to keep trying!

Hello ladies! Kicked off the October bus by AF yesterday, I'm jumping aboard. Just finished my first cycle post MC and seems ok. Wasn't sure I ovulated last month although did have a positive OPK but I got confused.

I'll update the list:

raven silly question but are you sure it's not implantation? I had a 24 hour "AF" with my last pregnancy.

Hi Iggly, good to have you here. Will be good to have someone to ask about post MC cycles if you don't mind.

I am pretty certain it isn't implantation bleeding as it has got really heavy (heavier than my usual period). Going to do another pg test in a couple of days to make sure pg hormone has disappeared.

I am expecting to renew my bus travel season ticket this weekend so just checking out the bus and reserving myself a seat at the front of the top deck. Is there any bonus for loyal bus travellers who have renewed their season ticket a few times? I am sending wine and cake to the bus for you early travellers to keep going with.

Seen GP - went end of October.

DPs sperm is fine. I had a blood test early Dec but the day 3 test fell right over Christmas and the surgery was closed. I've booked in for day 3 test this Friday.

My cycles are regular and CBFM says I'm ovulating. Is it possible for CBFM to tell me this when I'm not? Luteal phase is about 16 days so on the face of it everything is fine.

Risk factors for me are age (32 - I know it's not that old but not exactly young), blood type O (anyone else see that research?), low birth weight (as I'm a twin), twin who stopped ovulating (mainly fixed now).

kat2504 · 24/01/2011 21:15

Yes it is possible for cbfm to tell you that you are ovulating if you are not. The LH surge means you are getting ready to ovulate. It does not confirm that it happened (that is what the day 21 blood test does, or what temping shows). However, on the positive side, if it shows peak every month and you are having the period 2 weeks later, it is highly unlikely that you are not ovulating if you have a regular cycle, so I think you don't need to worry!!

Welcome level. Sorry to hear your trials and tribulations. Good to hear tests have all been fine so far. Good luck at the docs this Friday. Sounds like it might be just lots of bad luck as you say. Was going to recommend temping to give you some assurances you are ovulating to combine with your CBFM, but looks like you are on it, and have also joined Charters Anon (me too!). Similar timeframe here - been 18 months since we started trying, concived twice in that time, one pg to 17weeks and the other only managed just shy of 5weeks. I am also 32, still childless, and feeling ancient. Is your twin identical?

Hi also soppysue, will save you a seat at the back!

Thanks for the wine and cake kat, good to see another 'experienced' traveller. Saving you a seat next to soppysue.

Thanks for saving me the seat raven ooooohhhh and the wine and cake will help pass the time while I wait...thanks kat.

Im sorry to hear of the trouble some of you are having, and also of your mc's raven :(

I am 33 and DH is 32 we were very lucky with DD we got a BFP after 1st month with her, I am under no illusion that it will be that easy this time though... it was 6 years ago now!!! Confused

Report
level · 25/01/2011 20:21

Hi ravenlocks
Sorry to see your BFP didn't last.

Yes, my twin is identical so if there's any genetic problem causing her to have the issues I'll likely have the same problems.

That said, our histories are quite different. She's had quite a few partners/unprotected sex which I could have contributed to her problems whereas DP and I have been together 16 years and had no other partners.

This place is great because all I ever hear at the moment is how my friends got pregnant accidentally first time. I find it hard to be around them/friends with kids much at the moment.

Morning all... mind if I sneak on quietly and grab a seat?? Just been chucked off the October bus by you know who after an excrutiating wait for her - 5 days late!! Loads of symptoms for the past nearly 3 weeks but clearly not happenning! Only 'interesting part' is that I now have no idea on my cycle lengths!! Grin. I was being a bit hopeful that it might happen first time round...but hey ho...on we go...!!

Hey ladies! This is my first bus!

DH and I started TTC a little too late in my last cycle so I'm going to go ahead and call this cycle 1. Having had the most regular 28 day cycles in the world for my entire adult life, even after coming off the pill in September, my last two cycles have been unexpectedly short (21 and 25 days respectively) so I'm now completely unsure of dates. Naturally that means lots of sex Grin. But it might also mean I'm a big faker on the November bus! Can I still play though?

hey bluecrane, yes, I was thinking the same, good to see you here (well, obviously, not great because we'd rather have seen BFPs, but you know what I mean)

In that case I will leave the list making to an experienced bus traveller.

I am:
