Hey there everyone,

I was recommended to take agnus castus by a friend who had used it to conceive her three children, after various periods of trying. My question is, I think I may be pregnant (going to test Sat) but since ovulation I've continued to take the AC, but have just read this could harm any developing foetus. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any knowledge that might help (i.e. put my mind at rest :))
Thanks, Glitterboots

I have been given AC by my acupuncturist/herbalist and she assures me that its fine to take when pregnant, in fact she says it can help prevent miscarriage. But the only thing I would say is that she prescribed it for me based on my circumstances, yours may be different. If in doubt I would just not take it if I were you.

Thanks, knowing it's from a herbalist helps :) I've been taking it for the past month, and I think it's done the trick Wink.

Hi, I was taken a German herbal tincture Mastodynon which is primarily derived from AC. I was told by an indocrinologist, it is safe in pregnancy, although I stopped taking everything as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I believe AC definitely works - the downside is that one has to take it for a long time, consistently and in fairly large quantities (as any herb) to see any meaningful progress. I took AC for almost a year. I conceived after 2 months of trying... Good luck!
