I would be really grateful for any help/advice any of you can give me on the attached.

Following a M/C in summer I started tracking BBT which didn't seem to have a particular pattern so, after being gutted last month when I thought I was pregnant but wasn't (off coffee/wine, sore boobs, big tum etc etc etc - I even liked tea for the first time in my 35+ years!!). I bought myself some OPK tests to see if I can try and pinpoint ovulation.

After a definite negative result( day 7) I had a very definite positive, day 8 am followed by a negative in the evening (obsessive, me?!?) hence hubby and I DTD/BD that evening. My BBT also dropped on day 8 and rose afterwards.

Being marginally OCD and having lots of sticks left which go off after 30 days I continued to test and had negatives for the next 7 days (to day 15). On day 16/17 (yesterday and today) I have had more OPK positives. I also have had a really big dip in temperature again. Does this mean I have a second LH surge or could I be pregnant?

Tomorrow is day 18 and I will keep testing but I just wondered if there was any experience out there of this?

To anyone who has managed to keep reading through this very boring post I thank you and any advice/thoughts you have would be most welcome.

I don't think I'm ready to admit to my obsessiveness with it all just yet and enter into ongoing dialogue. I will continue to lurk and learn though!

Good luck with it all - and thanks for responding to me.

Hi there BoodleBoo sorry to hear about your MC. I suffered one last cycle too Sad

The comfort I am taking from it is at least my body can get pregnant, i.e. you know the tubes are open, DH has ok sperm etc. I know it;s still so hard to accept that you were pregnant and not you're not though Sad

Could your hormones still be settling down after the MC? I confess I have no idea how long it takes the body to settle down post MC, but I believe the later you lost the baby, the longer it takes to get your cycles back.

Have you had a "normal" cycle since?

Regarding the OPKs I believe it's possible to get a surge, and then ovulation to not happen for some reason (e.g. stress) - the only way to confirm it actually happened is seeing the sustained temp shift. So you may then get another surge of LH later as your body has another go at ov.

I've also heard that you can get positive OPKS if you are actually pregnant (although, I never did when I used an OPK and knew I was pregnant)
