We are currently ttc#2 but have just booked a trip home to NZ for Nov this year and I really need to loose some weight just in case this ttc business takes a while and I can't blame these extra 10kgs on pregnancy lol

I would stop dieting as soon as got BFP of course but was wondering what people had been told about dieting while ttc, was thinking of giving my system a shock with a couple of weeks of Slim Fast and then follow a Weight Watchers points type plan.

Good old Heathrow Injection eh? Maybe instead of dieting you should try and up your exercise instead of dieting and see where that gets you. At least that way when you get your BFP you'll be stronger and fitter, which will help throughout the pregnancy?

Oh how I wish I could blame it on 'Heathrow Injection' unfortunately after 8yrs here I dont think anyone would humour me! Gawd I know I should just exercise more... I'm just not a fan... in fact I put on the 4kgs I lost at the beginning of the year cos I thought why bother when we are going to get pregnant this year.

Of course with the rapid assent of the scales I realise what a silly silly girl I was and am back where I started!

i dont really know, but surely slim fast wouldnt harm a baby? i would be incluned to do it and them just eat healthily once you find out if you are pg? maybe someone will come aong soon with abit better advice

I've never done slimfast before so wouldn't know about that, but am a fan of WW - I lost 10kg on that about 8 years ago. It teaches you about food and portions so is sustainable long term (or was for me anyway). Use all the pineapple lumps and hokey pokey icecream you'll eat when you get to NZ as motivation!
