Hi
I saw my GP today about getting advice on TTC with stage 4 endometriosis. He seemed a bit nonplussed. I think he thought, well, surely she knows how it works by her age, but then, he didn;t think you needed preconception vitamins as only folic acid is recommended, didn't think I needed to see my endo specialist until I'd been trying for 12 months, he was very nice but a bit like as to why I might even be there, asking questions.
Surely there are places where we can get advice. Aren't there? Or are we women somehow expected to be experts in cycles, and fertility and getting pregnant? Cos I have no clue, seriously. He said I need to work out when the middle of my cycle was as that's when I'm most fertile. OK then.
Obviously, for some it is this simple, but surely older women with gynae issues, there's more to it...
I mean, obviously I realise I have to throw away the pill packet, chuck my legs in the air and get on with it, that much I know! But the rest is a mystery
MN is abviously a good source of advice but is there anything else?
