the small print says 'applies to new bookings only' so does that mean if you've laready had a holiday with cottages4you you aren't eligible?

I don't think so compo, I think it's that if you've already booked a holiday with them for next year (or whenever) you can't use the Mumsnet discount for money off (I'm afraid).

I think it might be low-uptake because its not really a prize, its a discount which ties you into making a booking with this company ...its only £250 towards a holiday

sorry don't mean to be critical but its not as great as most of the comps you organise

You can get a whole break for £250 though, twig - eg this one £245 for a weekend in September, swimming pool and everything, and there are lots like that.
