scalp ringworm- what's the treatment?

I think my DD has this - circular patch of red on her scalp, clear patch of skin in the middle. It's itchy.

does anyone have experience of this? what would the treatment be?

I'm off to work soon, but will check back later. I plan on taking her to the pharmacist on the way home from school. And also making doctor's appt, but we'll no doubt be having to wait weeks to see one!

the nhs website says this about scalp ringworm:

You should always see your GP if you, or your child, develops scalp ringworm. Antifungal creams are ineffective in treating the condition because they cannot penetrate into the entire scalp. Therefore, you will need to see your GP in order to obtain anti-fungal tablets.
