DD 5mo has been vomming since 5am. Full on full feed vomits..

she had a 4 hour gap in the middle of the day with no puke then gulped a feed and vommed it all back up at about 5pm. She had a few mins of bf at 7.20 but I pulled her off early as was worried about her puking again if she drank too much too quickly and she has been asleep since just before 8. I am really worried she is going to get dehydrated, should I wake her and try to feed?

I rang nhs direct this am and they said to keep feeding her and if no improvement in couple of days see GP. She has drier nappies than normal but has weed and pooed this pm.

Sorry about poor typing am on phone in her room in the dark.

Its good that she has had wet and dirty nappies. If she goes 12 hours without a wee I'd take her to see a doc. is she otherwise ok? temp ok? not listless etc?

I used to dreamfeed (breastfeed and bottle @ different times) : that's an idea?

has she had any water today?

Hi thanks for the message.

Yes other than the puke she was fine in herself when awake, a little warm but not feverish and a little more willing to cuddle than normal

she had a couple of oz of water but immediately brought them back up so horrible to see her puking like this

think I will attempt a dreamfeed

BM is definitely the best thing for her if she has an upset tummy. Can you try giving her little but very frequent feeds so she doesn't have a big volume into her tummy in one go?

Thanks olihan, she is usually mix fee but have binned off the formula for today. I have just given her a dreamfeed for a few mins then took her off so she didn't get too much in one go and it seems to have been a success but am sitting next to cot with towels at the ready just in case. Unless she wakes up beforehand will try the same in an hour or so. It's going to be a looooooong night
