High temperature and lethargic...

DD 15 months has been out of sorts all day, slept for 14 hours straight last night, up at 9am, back to bed at 10.15am as looked exhausted!Didn't really eat anything at lunch. Slept again at lunchtime, took her out for a walk as thought some fresh air might perk her up, no, half asleep in buggy! Came back and she just sat on my lap and went asleep again, never done this before, will only sleep in cot! Her temp is 38.5, given her some calpol. She's in bed, what should I be doing? I know I'm crazy neurotic!!! Sorry its long!

I'd get her checked over by the out of hours to be honest. You could try giving her some ibuprofen (the kiddy one) and see if she perks up a bit but with lethargy and a temp then she should be checked over by a doctor.
I hope she's OK.

there is a horrid gastro bug going around.

Saying that both my dds had the high temp but were quite bouncy with it. Had copious snot. This then turned into sick and runny poo which made them sleep for long periods. It has been horrible.

Neither has eaten much over the last week - dd1 just starting to get back to normal - and dd2 only just being able to keep down her milk.

If you are worried definitely check with your out of hours doc. Both mine were rousable and quite alert at times throughout this bug.

Hope your dd gets better soon

I agree with fluffys, I'm sure she will be fine but best to get her checked at out of hours as she is so young. Hope she's better soon.

DD got hotter and hotter, had too go to hospital, helped cool her down. She's got a virul infection. Haven't given her anything, just calpol and keeping her cool! Bless her, she's been so good! On the mend now!
