Poor little thing is struggling to breathe.

She is wanting to comfort suck, but then panics as she can't breathe properly.

Going to give her a bath later and try a steamy bathroom. Any other suggestions?

She's already on penicillin for a strep A infection

Is it her nose that is blocked?

Breastmilk up the nose? Water? Suck out the snot.

Poor girl and poor you. Wrapped up very warm indeed, the cool night air can sometimes help for a few minutes.

Would expressing and a cup feed help too?

It seems to be up towards her sinuses more - very rarely is there actual snot seen iyswim.

Night air did help last night, I'd forgotten that (impromptu trick or treating), bundling up and a walk could be a good move before bed.

Not too sure how my expressing is atm (have had latch issues so nipples only just healed), but will give it a try

I've been feeding her upright atm, holding my breast away so she can get that bit more air too.

Poor little lady has had a crappy start so far!

I was advised by HV when DD2 was tiny, to dip a cotton wool ball in some cool, boiled water and let a couple of drops drip into her nose and gently massage each side.

Hope she is feeling better soon.

Pharmacist recommended vapour rub in hot water somewhere near baby when DS2 was similar age.

Olbas oil, vicks on a cloth close to baby but not too near eyes etc. Agree saline drops too but might be difficult to get hold of.
