She has been really straining to poo this week to the point of crying some times. Today she wasnt too bad with that side of it but when dp changed her nappy he noticed a lump by her bum.

Is there anything you can get to help? I am going to get some prune juice tomorrow to help her out.

She is sore when you wipe her and winces. I have been putting sudocrem on as she is sore anyway but wondered if there is anything else we can do.

I will take her to the doctors on Monday if its still there but wondered if anyone could help out.

Thanks

Difficult to know because she's young. I would ask the pharmacist if they have anything for her sore bum.

Has she been constipated before?

Sounds like job for a pharmacist or doc but metanium works much better on properly sore bottom for us than sudocrem. It stays on longer too so presumably can have effect for longer in each nappy (but is brigth yellow - we say DS has 'Bart bum' as he looks like a Simpson!

Thanks both, maybe I will pop to a chemist tomorrow.

She has never been constipated like this before. She is passing 'proper' poos this week - Sorry!! It must be really hurting her because she has to try so hard to do it.

I will try some metanium, thanks. She has more teeth coming hence the sore bum!

I will have another look at the lump tomorrow and keep an eye on it.

Hi Drooper, she seems better today. The lump is still there but not so big today.

If its still there Monday I will take her to the doctors.

We got her some prune juice today so that should be fun! Thanks
