I am concerned because my daughter only gos for a poo every 3-4 days. She spends a good day standing with her legs crossed saying she wants a poo but won't go.

Eventually when she can't hold on to it any longer she does the most enormous one! It seems abnormally huge, my mum even commented on the size of it the other day!!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make her poo more regular? If she goes for longer than 4 days we add Movicol to her squash but don't want to use that too regular.

Any comments ideas welcome....

I would speak to your GP. My dd has an enlarged bowel (which can happen if a child holds onto their poo) which is then prone to blockage and then she leaks liquid poo and has no control over her bowels. Your GP may think that once every 4 days is fine, but worth having it checked out in case it might lead to problems.
FWIW, my dd has movicol every day (several sachets) to keep her passing poo daily so that her bowel will shrink. (She is under the care of a peadiatric gastroenterologist).
