why is this, it smells like she's dirtied her nappy! She is totally breastfed and not yet weaned and has no teeth so I can't fathom it. She doesn't poo very often so I wondered if it was backing up (disgusting i know)

Could she have a throat infection?

Good luck.

Tonsillitis usually stinks. As does lots of snot running down the back of their throat. Has she been ill?

often a sigh of tummy problems, digestion. Does she have a problem with feeds

occasionally she seems a bit fretful during a feed and sometimes afterwards and i have wondered if there is a problem but put it down to tiredness because she turns away and doesn't finish feeding or i'll distract her and she'll get over it. Also, she doesn't poo very often and when she does it is thick (which is so different to my DD1 who had explosive poos after almost every feed). Are you medical aly? if so what kind of digestive problem are you refering to.

they say bad breath is either a tooth problem or a digestive one and as she is so young it is unlikely to be teeth. Constipation can cause bad breath. Get some lactulose from gp and see if it just loosens her poo up a bit.
I work in a pharmacy and have been in medicine for many years.
I would be looking at the simpler things like constipation first,,,see if it is relieved by lactulose first....
if it isnt then ask for a scan to see if she has slight impaction in her bowel.
