DD (2) spent the day with a child aged 15 mos who has come out with rubella today. DD had her MMR several months ago. Can she still get it, maybe a milder version? sad

DS got mumps even though vaccinated but only got it mildly so still worth the vac imo

Not worried about her as she is a little toughie grin but am concerned about pg friends we have spent time with. I have let them know anyway.

Hopefully your pg friends had the single rubella jab as teenagers at school.

But yes, your DD could catch rubella as vaccinations are not 100% effective.

Anyway, chances are your DD's vac worked and chances are that your pg friends are vaccinated.

Huge sighs of relief. Baby's GP has confirmed it is a virus and not rubella. The little girl who has it is about due for her MMR and I am pretty sure they intend to have her vaccinated. smile
