Anyone else have a child who has constant (minor) medical problems? Feel so sorry for dd.

My middle child has just turned 3 and since she was born she has always had something going on (nothing serious) but just constant.

First it was chronic constipation for the first 2 years accompanied by runny nose and slightly dry skin, we then diagnosed milk allergy and she was fine when she went dairy free.

She's had the usual childhood things like chicken pox but always gets them worse than my other dc.

She had a mystery cellulitus infection between her toes a few months ago and recently developed a large over granulated cyst type lump inside her mouth.

She has had several nasty bangs on her head recently causing scabs which she has picked and then the other day a smaller child pulled out a huge clump of her hair.

That was on Friday and over the weekend her whole scalp became covered in dry scaly patches of skin which she has scratched. Now at the back of her neck/head she has scratched so much it is weeping and red over an area about 3x3cm and I have had to cut her hair to stop it getting all matted.

She also has bright red patches on her face, ears, base of spine and one on her tummy.

She also has a steaming nose. Oh and we were advised to restart dairy so she has been on a full dairy diet for about 8 weeks- any link or just coincidence?

No idea if any link - but just wanted to sympatise. We also have one with a run of minor medical problems - end up feeling embarrassed at having to go to the docs practically once a week

Why don't you try to boost her immune system with a bit of zinc, some vitamin C, and as much sleep as possible.

You could look up what kind of multi vit programme might help her.
