Teething and temperatures - do I need to do anything?

Quick question really: 10mo DS has developed a high temp (39.5) this afternoon. I'm fairly certain it's teeth-related - he has scarlet cheeks and ears, is flooding with drool and chewing everything in sight. No other symptoms apart from a snotty nose.

He seems fine in himself, a bit grumpy but otherwise chatting away and wriggling about on the floor as normal. Do I need to do anything other than watch, comfort and administer Calpol?

TIA

have you tried using Nelsons Teetha powders at all? I've used them with all 3 of mine and it gives them some relief smile

Thanks dizzy I do use Nelsons and he seems to like them (weirdo).

Temp has gone up again before bed, to 40 I'm keeping a very close ear on the monitor.
