Diarrhoea - wondering about possible cause....

About 3 weeks ago my DD (3 years old) had diarrhoea for about a week - no other symptoms really, just runny poo. It started soon after she had quite a large portion of grapes, and I thought it may have been the fruit, but then dismissed it and thought it was a just a mild virus or something. Well, today once again she had some grapes as an afternoon snack, and an hour later started having diarrhoea.

Anyone had similar experiences? She loves fruit and has no allergies, and it just seems really weird. I wondered whether maybe the grapes had high level of pesticide or something?

Grapes do that in some children. It's very common. I would give her an apple tomorrow instead

If she had a virus which was irritating the bowel, exposure to any high water fruits may cause the same - give her some melon and I bet she'll do the same.

It will pass (oh that's a bad joke sorry) - she will get better I mean, in a few weeks.

Actually stewed apples (stewing releases the pectin) are ideal binding food for making poo less sloppy if she is recovering from a viral tummy upset.
