What to do about DDs next paed appointment? This is very long!

DD is a 'difficult' little person. always has been.

Potted history...

never eaten anything except beige food. bread, crackers, chips, chicken, biscuits, cake (plain). No fruit No veg. I have tried!

Always been temperemental. always had tantrums.

nearly 2 years ago she had a gastro type bug. since then she has complained incessantly about feeling sick and having tummy aches. daily. all the time. her behaviour has been shocking. she crys. she has huge meltdowns. she is obsessive about various things. she is clingy.

after this bug she was unbearable for months and months. She went through a phase of school refusal. Will now go unwillingly.

She could be bright but won't try. She is a bit of a perfectionist and will shred homework if she makes a mistake. so is scared of making mistakes so won't try anything......

I've thought her behaviour over the last few years has been down to her feeling sick and having these stomach pains. At times she has been doubled over with cramps. She has never actually been sick and is utterly vomit phobic - leading to obsessions about germs and then being scared she will be sick and so on and on and on.......

Anyway. For a while I was convinced the nausea and pain was down to her appaling diet. Thought perhaps a bit wheat intolerent although Coeliac blood tests negative, then I gave in and she had an endoscopy, all negative. Tried a GF diet for some months, some improvement in behaviour and pain but not cured of nausea.

Now another appt has appeared for check up with paed and I don't know what to do next.

Afetr all this I think I am coming to terms with maybe she is a bit mental and perhaps it is all down to anxiety. Although why she should still be the same during school holidays / family days out / nice things, I don't know. And why she should be anxious is beyond me. We're a fairly normal, nice, supportive family with no upheavals or disasters.

Have looked alot at AS and aspergers literature and she does fit in some ways. Maybe this is what is wrong.

So, do we go to the next paed appt? is there another physical possibility or answer to her? Or should I persue the other possibility?

Back when she was refusing school (and by god that was a particularly diffcult phase) we did get a CAHMS appt but it was shite and offered no support or advice whatsoever.

So what to do next? Any ideas?

EG how old is she?
I would go and see the paed and ask about ASD aspergers as it sounds as though she may have some tendancies for this agood paed will have some knowledge and should be able to refer on

no worries I think you need to get it all our sometimes for everyones sake!
it is definitely worth going to the appt and maybe asking her to tell the paed what her issues are would give them a sense of her communication etc
