Unexplained blotches

For the last 2 days, my DD (almost 2yo) has had irregular red blotches on her arms and legs.
They disappear with pressure, but immediately return when it is released.
There are no marks at all on her chest, tummy or back.
She has had a mild cough and runny nose for a few days, but I'm not convinced that they're connected to the marks.
She hasn't had a fever, loss of appetite or shown any other signs of illhealth.
She has no known allergies and has not eaten or done anything unusual recently.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

if it is a virus giving her cough etc it could be a viral rash - not a health expert, but it has happened to my 3 often enough.

Nothing to worry about, but my doc was always very nice when i paniced and forgot that was what it was, so see someone if youare worried.

My kids' rashes would often show up more when they were hot e.g. asleep in pushchair wrapped in lots of layers.

Thanks Charmander.

You might be right about it being a virus related to the cough.
The cough has just about cleared up now and the blotches too seem to be fading.
I'll leave it a few more days and see if they go completely.

Hello my DD has had a nettle like rash come and go on her hands and face. For the last two days it seems to of stopped now, and she has had a cold as well so I am putting it down to 'viral' it got worse if she was out in the cold.
Hope your LO is ok!
