Ds was really wheezy last night and off it this morning so I took him to gp who diagnosed a chest infection and he's on abs and steriods
Really thought this winter we would start to see an improvement

God, it's awful, my 2 year old suffered his first two winters too, waiting to see if he's over it this time...

My GP gave me a spacer and ventolin to use with him. Does it start with a noticable temperature? I ask cos after two lots of CI's I didn't want to keep giving him AB's. My GP suggested the third time she thought it was coming on (I'd taken him straight there when he went hot and quiet again) that I tried to fight it off before it took hold with Calpol/nurofen alternatively and it did work. It's all about getting it early though.

Does your boy get on with things, or does it make him really miserable? I think I'm lucky that mine did suffer too much mood wise... except when it joined up with an ear infection.

Since he was born really he's nearly 4 I know he is still young but his consultant seemed quite confident that we would see an improvement this winter

He is used to being chesty he has got quite severe asthma so unless he's really sruggling he'll get on with things.

Commiserations- DD's annual season of ear infections began this weekend- culminating in a burst eardrum last night
I was just the same as a child too...
