I think DS (4) has swallowed a link from an xmas decoratuon that I bought at John Lewis today - this one

I think because I never say him do it, but he was lokking at it and then after putting him to bed I noticed it was missing.

Not sure what to do - or if to do anything. Worst fear is that there many have been lead in it??!!

If I were you I'd phone NHS direct and have a hunt around for the missing bit while I'm on the phone

For me that usually means I find it half way through the conversation and end up feeling like a plonker - but rather that than anything worse eh?

Most 4 year olds don't swallow things so much. He probably carefully put it away somewhere safe like the oven of the toy kitchen or your handbag or the washing machine.

I'm sure he'll be fine, they wouldn't sell anything these days that might be toxic.

Do nothing, just watch carefully.

He;s not been bothered by it? How big is the link? Would it pass through "naturally"?

BTW Lovely deccies! I'm tempted by a purple colour scheme this year...

Agree with changenamer - my ds (4.5) would be very unlikely to swallow something like that - & if he did he'd look SO guilty I'd know about it Is he a swallower of things generally?

It's very pretty btw

if he's swallowed it he hasn't choked on it going down so it'll come out the other end

Glad to hear it is all over.

Mind you, as well as worrying about your ds I did think "Buying Christmas decorations already???"
