My dd had something called toddler diarrhea when she was about 18 months old. She had yellow watery smelly poo for about 2-3 weeks if not a bit longer on and off. I rang the doctors surgery and spoke to the health visitor who mentioned that my dd probably had ' toddler diarrhea'. We just let her eat what she fancied, plenty of pasta and bread too. It disappeared on its own luckily. If you are worried perhaps pop and see your doctor. Hope this helps a little

How soon after drinking is your daughter pooing? And is she just taking little tiny sips of liquid at a time, so that her stomach has a chance to cope with it (if it was a viral stomach bug, even after she starts getting better her stomach will still be very inflamed for a while, so won't react well to food or large quantities of fluid at a time)?

My son, when he had a gastroenteritis and ended up on a drip in hospital, was also pooing water - it was literally so full of liquid it just looked like urine, but was coming out of his bottom (not the same thing as toddler diarrhoea, which looks like very runny, yellow poo) and what made that extremely worrying was that it was coming out within a minute or two of drinking - not really giving him time to absorb the fluids. The main problem with him was that he was so incredibly thirsty, we couldn't stop him trying to gulp his drinks down - he was drinking pints and pints and it was all coming straight out of the other end!!!

I hope your daughter starts to get better, soon.

coming straight out we have learned to give 5 ml of syringes every 5 min to try and stay in, but last night we got realy worried as it happened 6 times in an hour like a bowl of wee in her nappies, was taking of taking her back to hospital, but decided to try the home recipe for dehydration, we stopped up all night even while she slept giving her it!and this moring she as only done it twice so far but still not eating only had tiny bit of milk 2oz but lots of water.

so hoping it stats to calm down

I'm glad it's going OK. Be careful with the milk, though - it's not good on an upset stomach.
