Docs tomorrow???

DD2 (2.9mnths) started with diareah (sp?!) at 1am on wednesday morning, was followed by 2 episodes of sickness a few hours later, but has since been fine - no laying on the sofa feeling sorry for herself or anything. The thing is she still has diareah, and has been constant... 3 or 4 nappy changes in an hour earlier today.

Have been feeding bananas and toast, but she is still hungry and still wants to eat normally.

Any ideas? Should I get her checked out? This is the same girl that we have had constipation issues with for the last 2yrs so im reluctant to take her if the doc will give her something to block her up again!

have just had this
gecko had it worse with horiid daoirrhea (cannot spell that) and she threw up every night (only once after the first two nights) for a week

dd2 threw up once and had a squitty bum for a day

purples dd1 threw up and had a squitty bum all together for a morning

all of them were fine and running around inbetween and wanting to eat normally
I did take gecko to the docs on day 6 and he said that it was just a tummy bug and as long as she was peeing no action needed to be taken

he did give me a sample bottle for taking a poo sample if it didn't stop for another 4 days

I dont think you need to take her myself
they will tell you to up her fluids, keep her on a plain diet, avoid dairy and let her rest when she wants

I think she will be fine in a day or two

I am sure it says in ther ehow long you can home treat a child with diarrohea depending on their age.

In my experience they would not give you something to block her up as with a tummy bug you want the body to flush the system out

they are pooing out the nasties

so take her if it will help you to relax but I dont think she needs medical assistance just tlc, fluid and her fave cuddly
