DS2 age 3 has potentially eaten some bean bag filling.

is it poisonous?

as if our day couldn't get any worse.

Is it the little polystyrene balls?

DOn't think they are poisonous, but not sure.
Can you call NHS 24 and ask?

Report
lulumama · 05/08/2008 15:50

doubt they are poisonous, think polystyrene is fairly inert. call NH S direct, but don;t panic

MamaGLovesMe · 05/08/2008 15:52

I doubt it was many.

DH said he will poo them out and doesn't seem concerned.

My head is about to explode and am not in fit state to know what I am doing.

This website says:

Expanded polystyrene- It is safe to manage this problem yourself at home. These substances are not usually dangerous when they are taken accidentally.

Do not try to make the person sick as it will make the worse. Give them small sips of milk or water if they can swallow properly. Stay calm.

If they have swallowed a large amount or if you are worried about any symptoms they have, call NHS 24.

Otherwise watch them carefully for the next four hours and care for them at home.

as can't have more kids.

My head is pounding, I am on the verge of tears. DH was meant to have 2 weeks off, went to a work meeting and has to work now.

No holiday, no time off, might not be paid next month.

oh you poor poor thing. what has suddenly made you think about no more babies?

re DH;s work. is there any chance of any time off? maybe 5 days rather than 2 weeks? if things very tight, he might need to hang on in there.

school hols stressful enough i find, without any thing else on top

i have known for a while I can't have any more and seeing about me having a bun in the oven just made me feel

It is MamaG's fault, she said to have this name!!

No chance of any time off for DH. He might not even get paid for what he is doing never mind compensation holiday pay. [hugely worried emoticon]
